mud tyres on the motorway

i have a set of these

im going to drive from the isle of wight to birmingham and back via wales on the weekend and im wondering if its worth fitting my old road wheels .
Would you bother changing or just leave the muds on?

check your speed rating letter on the sidewall and see if it fits in with the speed you are going to want to travel at, lots of muds are only rated for quite low speeds so can break up with a long high speed run.

they are "Q" rate so good for a maximum of 100mph, will be awfully noisy at that speed tho and like they say above street tyres may save a few mpg

Muds handle deep snow without a problem - what's the weather forecast.
Also you might find the motorways all restricted to 50 if your luck is anything like mine!

I'd keep them on. Ran around for years in the Mitsu with mud tyres - no problem. And...while the road tyres might roll a bit better and save fuel, I don't expect it'll be much.
