cherokee 2.8 crd misfire
« on: December 10, 2010, 06:38:47 PM »

Can anyone give me any advice as to why my Jeep has a misfire at tickover and up to about 1200 revs when it has warmed up, it smokes a bit on initial  start up when cold and runs a bit lumpy for the first few seconds then is fine till it gets warm. It dosen't use oil or water and has done 113k. Once above 1200 revs it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mouse.

Bad injector I'd say. Take it to a local disel specialist.

Itonly had a full service 2k ago and has only developed the problem in last week when outside temperature has been dropping to -8, don't know if this could have any bearing on problem.
