i got some stuff called "rostoff ice" which i was told......"you spray on to the bolt (not the nut) for about 20 seconds then walk away, come back after a few mins & it will have "chilled" the bolt enough to loosen the nut".........yeah, right i thought!!! but you know, it feckin works!!!!! :?

it also contains a penetrating oil to help with the process.........

thought owen had a 3" lift??? if its not a true 3" lift he would have been better off with the shorter ones as they are cheaper by £20
ill look into the size problem as they should be spot on for length. BDS have a new design comming out in the spring so im stopping the current onbes now untill the new ones are out.
sorry for the hasstle m8, cant understand why they are to long.

I had to cut a good 2" off them, apart from that they were no problem.
They are virtually the same as skyjacker discos, so it didn't take long to work out  :wink:
I think Owens has a 2"ish lift on it, I haven't measured it though, my xj is slightly taller, on 30" tyres, Owen has 31" on his.

I've still got all my connections with Quadratec and can get the JKS well cheap.

If theres about six of ya who are genuinly interested I'll import some, if not I can't be arsed cos its not worth it.

Okay the Bds Discos are now on... Couple of Pics in album.
The thought of cutting them to size and re drilling was worse than actually doing them and sad as it is i actually enjoyed doing it.
(Its been years since i bashed my knuckles)

They disconnect easy now but It will be interesting to see what they are like after bein covered in sh*t  but i am optimistic and well pleased for the moment.

just like ant disco's just keep em greased and you can see they are easy to strip and clean..... so there is no excuse not to clean and grease them :wink:

I have the Rubicon Express Generation II's on my TJ and XJ.  I have a friend or two that run the JKS's and like them just fine.  My RE GenII's are easy, too.  And when covered in mud, I still wipe down the connection stuff.  They work pretty well.  Do you guys have access to Rubicon Express stuff over there?

I'm runnin' a RE 4.5 inch (115 mm approximately / net 5" +/- ) Superflex short arm on the TJ, and OME 2" on the XJ by the way.

We can get most anything.  We just have to pay through the nose for it.

I tried to give swayloc away a while back, no interest chucked it in the skip.  It was on my TJ when I bought it and found it worse than a connected sway bar on road and no better that disconnected offroad, fitted JKS's instead.

Are you sure you got the right thing. I am talking aboiut the air activated stiff AR bar(greater than stock for on road and soft AR (like the currie) that is activated by the flick of a switch from the cab. Thus giving you stiffer than stock road use and some off camber protection yet good flex off road, available only from ORO in the states.

You had one of those and you skipped it! are you mad they are like gold dust.

You got the best of both worlds at the flick of a switch and you dont have to get out of the cab!

Quick update
Used the BDS disconnects for the first time in anger the other weekend and was pleasantly surprised how easy they were. pins and sleeves came off no problem, no worries about anything gettin bent or covered in muck.
 
After a wipe over and regrease went back on and pins in no problem.
Better than i thought  8)

Talking with ORO the original rods that connect to the axle where having issues with bending and braking. The next generation, which are being sold now have thicker and sytonger links.

Heck if anybody is throwing away a SwayLoc I'll take it. Pay the shipping too. ;)
