 HI Iv not posted for a year because i sold my Chery Got a kia sportage which is not good in the snow so it is going . I'm looking at a 02 grand Chery 4l  with LPG this is from a independent dealer . What known faults do these have ? any thing hard to spot on a test drive . it is the last of the old shape The dealer is wanting £3995 is this a fair price

The newest that can be is a 1998. the '02 registration indicates that it's probably one of a load of grey imports that found their way here either from Cyprus or South Africa. It's worth 2 grand.

Way too much dollar!
LPG will add to the sticker price (£1k) of any GC so only pay the premium if you'll get the advantage of a payback.
I looked out for faults; anything to do with the air con/climate; eg creaky/broken blend doors giving poor temp control.
Heated seats & other electrics, sticky brakes. None of which are major obstacles.
Axle noise as with most jeeps can be costly.

If you can hold on for a few months & let the hysteria for 4x4s because of snow die down you'll get more for your money.

Stick some All Terrain tyres on the Kia (assuming it's 4wd) and wait til summer to buy.

Well, that one isn't LPG, which is, I'm guessing, a big draw. It is also in Devon, and or friend is in
Inverness.

My Black 51 plate 4.7 V8 with multipoint LPG is on the market. I'm in the process of changing job and have to have a van for the new one, I've bought a VW Transporter T5 174bhp......
This GC is the best car I've ever owned. Simple. Had it 3.5years and it's been brilliant. It's done 135k but it's such a lazy engine with it's automatic gearbox ....
All the usual stuff .... Full Black Leather, Infinity Gold amp'd stereo/cd, electric heated memory seats, multifunction steering wheel, electric windows & sunroof, cruise control, electric folding mirrors, towbar, auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Still has original petrol tank and the 90L LPG tank is in the spare wheel well. This is very sympathetically covered in matching interior carpet. LPG filler is attached to the towbar mount and very subtle.
Wheels had got some lacquer pitting, so they are currently at the powder coaters. Tyres are all good quality and a matching set, plenty of tread left.
Only issue I know of it the drivers mirror photochromatic stuff must be broken as the mirror is sort of sepia tint, works fine as a mirror, just tinted all the time.
I'll get a photo on here when the wheels are back on.

Oh it's taxed til 31/5/11 and MOT'd til Feb I think (will check). Am hoping to get £4k .....
