Grand Cherokee immobiliser
« on: January 14, 2011, 01:00:37 PM »

there seems a lot on the bay with immobiliser faults, is this a known issue? is it masking something else? and how hard is it to fix? or should I walk away from them all?

Could well be body control module or door control module on a ZG...might need Jeep dealer scan tools but the doc will know more

If you disconnect and reconnect the battery, and it doesn't start working, RUN AWAY.

Probably safe to assume sell would have tried that before punting it out on eBay so will keep looking for a runner
