Water Dripping from near bulkhead
« on: February 06, 2011, 09:17:39 AM »

2002 Jeep GRand Cherokee WJ 4.7V8

I have noticed yesterday that when I have just used the car and park up a pool of water appears under it. I cannot see anything leaking from under the bonnet, so must be at the rear of the engine bay and running down by the bulk head and out underneath more passengerside bias.

1st thought was engine coolant but its clear water so cannot be.

Any ideas and is it ok to use still???

Cheers

It's condensation draining from the aircon evaporator.

Morning Mike,

How come its only just starting doing this, the aircon does appear to be ramping up everynow and then.

Does soemthing need repalcing, only as I still have a months warranty on the car if I need to use it.

Lots of moisture in the air at the moment, whereas the air was really dry when it was colder. Noticed how windows are suddenly really steamed up the past few days? The air con is just condensing all that moisture and removing it from the inside of the car.
