Correct tyre pressures for 2004 Cherokee?
« on: February 12, 2011, 03:04:39 PM »

I shouldn't have to ask this one, but I'm darned if I can find what the correct tyre pressures are for my 2004 Cherokee CRD. The handbook says there should be a sticker on the B pillar but there ain't, and I've checked on all door shut faces and also behind the filler cap but I can't find any thing there. So put me out of my misery guys and tell me where to find the info. Or failing that, tell me what the tyre pressures should be.

Thanks  :icon_biggrin:

Nope, just went and checked. But thanks for the suggestion as I hadn't checked those locations.

Not even the service manual mentions tyre pressures, due to the variety of tyre sizes fitted as standard.

I seem to recall something along the lines of 30 to 33psi for my stock 235/70r16 on a 2005 3.8crd auto KJ, although I ran at 35psi.

At the moment they're 32 all round and I guess that's OK, but strange that I can't find anything anywhere on the car to say what they should be. Weird!

It does seem strange for the label to have been removed (or painted over?).

When the guide says drivers side, it of course means our passenger side.  I know the usuall places are on the door (near the latch), on the door frame (near the latch or near the hinges).  I'm sure my 2005 label was located near the hinges.

I'm sure it was 33psi.

Nope, had another look and there's no sign of it either on the door itself or the frame. Nor is there any sign of it having been removed (and definitely not painted over). the only sticker is the one with the build date and VIN on the door.

Found this...
The recommended tire pressure for all models of the Jeep Liberty is 33 p.s.i. (pounds per square inch) for both front and rear tires.

Thanks for tracking this down. I should have searched the Liberty forums as well and not just the Cherokee ones!
