hi everyone.

as above, i have a 1995 cherokee. it's the 4.0 petrol and has an old lpg conversion. it has 179,000 miles on it and i was wondering whether there was a specific oil i should be using considering the amount of miles it has on it?

i was also going to change the spark plugs and h-t leads... it doesn't make a difference to what type i need due to the fct it has an pg conversion does it???

i'm new to jeep ownership and lpg in general but want to learn and do the work on this myself where i can.

thanks, i look forward to your responses.

tony.

Those I6 motors seem capable of double your mileage so I'd be putting a fresh batch of the recommended grade.

As for plugs many recommend Brisk but they come at a premium over std stuff.

I've only used std plugs with the gap closed slightly over factory spec.Never had a problem personally.

Guess it depends how much you want to spend.

Buy the factory fit Champion plugs from the dealer, they're dirt cheap.

The oil you should use is in the lubrication guide http://www.birtydastards.com/frm/index.php?topic=8091.0

I was advised by the LPG installer that did the conversion on mine last week to reduce the lifespan of plugs and igniton components by 20% or so from normal service schedule to avoid potential problems.  Sounds sensible to me.
