Does the JK Wrangler have a Diesel Particulate filter?
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:19:33 PM »

Hi folks - newbie Paul here,
In about 18 months I will be in the position to afford to buy a new Wrangler 2.8 CRD, and as the UK Jeep website is pretty poor at present (awaiting the launch of the updated Wrangler??) Im just wondering if anyone knows if the 2.8 CRD has a diesel particulate filter. I only do about 6k miles a year and being on the Isle of Wight, those miles are quite slow!! - so there could be DPF issues that have plagued other makers vehicles. Any other issues of interest also appreciated especially as the service centres are on the North Island (England!!)
Thanks in advance!

AFAIK, some do, some don't. I believe all the 2011s do so if you're planning to buy new I guess it will have DPF.
