Mahindra Axles
« on: April 04, 2011, 07:28:50 PM »

Most of you who are mechanically knowledgeable will know that Mahindra jeeps have Dana 44 axles front and rear.

Tougher than the Dana 30 fitted to the front of AMC CJ jeeps

What I'd like to know is how tough are they compared to the Dana 44 fitted on FSJs which have a different spline at rear, and a different spline and different steering UJs at the front.

Obviously I'm not expecting some mad scientist to come up with an exact % ratio of strength to strength (you never know on Birtys tho :017:)

But some sort of insight into the Mahindra axles capabilities would be useful

Don't worry I'm not trying to put Bulldogs Axle Emporium out of business :greggmo:

Mindy axles are just too narrow for anything except flat fenders.

I'm just wondering how well they would stand up to a V8 :017:
