this is one of those bits of kit that would be invaluable twice a year and then sit in storage, would love one and probably got 3 or 4 projects than need a good bender but cant justify the spend needed to get the size i would need.may be a opportunity to obtain a communal unit
ok this is just a starting point to see if this could work but how does this sound?if we assume the kit with forms and delivery will be £900 (just a guess but need to start somewhere) that works out to £75 per month, so anyone interested can buy in for as many months as they feel they need, if we reach enough to fund buying the bender then we draw for dates.if this is workable then count me in for 2 months (£150)
a centre push hydraulic bender will deform the tube enough for it to not be suitable for roll cage etc, these benders hold one end of the tube and then pull the tube between 2 forms to make the bend but because of the way its held and supported there is little or no deforming giving you a stronger component.I have a 16ton hydraulic bender which is fine for things like bumpers and fenders but IMO no good for cages
