Go to
www.wjjeeps.com and search for wheels and they have pictures of all the different OEM wheels.
Went on the North American Grand Cherokee Association Website
www.nagca.comSearching for information on WJ with 2"BB and 17" a member posts that on 17" rims a 265/65/17 will fit and a 265/70/17 will fit with rubbing.
Remember that 17" rims are 7.5 inches wide and 16" rims are only 7 inches wide.
If you had a bigger lift you might want the 17" rims which would allow a wider and taller tyre than the 16" rims would allow.
A 265/70/17 computes at 31.6inches with a bit of rubbing .
It all comes down to my bugbear; how high your lift is over stock height..
I reckon that with 2" puck on old tired springs you are good for 30.5inches ie 245/75R16
My personal theory is that if you had replacement springs 2" over you would be good for a genuine 31 inches and possibly 31.5"
i would love to be able to prove this. Buy 2" springs, 2 inch over shocks and a set of front and rear bump stop extensions. Then put a set of 31.5 inch tyres on; but I've already gone past that.
