just done bleeding the clutch on my cherokee(xj)
we were at it for ages and could not get a good clutch,an inch off the flood and it was bitting and dragging gears.,,then i remembered something that they do in my bus depot(am a driver).
they raise the bus at the rear, not much, about 6 inch or so on wooden blocks, this is to let the air travel up the pipes and ease bleeding the system hydrolics,we were at is for ages, then as i have a driveway that is a small hill going up on to the road we parked the car on that, left it for half an hour and went out and bled the slave the normal way but this time with the car parked on the hill with the rear at the higher level, worked a treat clutch came right up first time and is better than its been for ages, job done...but a clever wee trick saving a load of hassle...still a two man job though.
