Yeah I'm sure its completely normal for a Jeep especially with 120k on the clock. But I'm currently drawing up a list of what needs doing to the ZJ (4.0 Auto Orvis) as i am considering cutting my losses and moving to something else.
So what I have is a whine from the rear axle when its not under load, so I accelerate no noise, back off the gas and coast theres a gentle whine, its not major. So my question is.. is it normal or a sign of something serious? I know its difficult (impossible) to diagnose a noise on the 'net but you lot are a knowledgeable bunch.
It's due an MOT in a few weeks, the weathers getting worse so I think I'm heading towards a decent time to sell up. That then raises loads of decisions about what to replace it with...
