Is it possible to lock the xj into 1st instead of it's 1st/2nd?
Found that 1st/2nd didnt control the speed enough on the steep stuff...
Anyone got any suggestions?

dont forget that if you are carefull you can feather the break on real steep stuff if the engine runs on, just remember to let go if it starts to slip.

Yep that's exactly what I was doing (on the advice of the guy that owns the pay'n'play place). worked pretty well and went against everything i'd ever been taught about decending slopes...
At least I now know how to lock it in low first anyway... that's probably a good start... d-oh!
