As mentioned very early on I noticed that one of the clamps holding the leaf pack together on the os front, rear bit of the leafs had let go.

Does this need putting back on before brake-out, buy new (lighty's ?) can I get away with a couple of heavy duty clamps ? (not jubilee but the ones with nuts)

I also fitted the rear seatbelts, silly me, the rear bench is split in seat and backrest anyway and the centre of the rear rear seat frame caters for fixing belts so in all it was
all of 15 mins work.

I aquired a BMW 2 gallon emergency fuel can many many moons ago with a neat little 2" hole in the middle so cold molded a stainless bracket + M12 bolt poking out, to fix to the inside of the rear wheel arch. So just have to make a 2" disk, and neatly bolt the can away on the side. Off course all mounted on stickyback neoprene to prevent rubbing.

It's nicely coming together now.

my rear storage solutions lockable waterproof box maybe for sale soon, if its any use to you?

all these do is hold the spring pack together and stop the leaves moving sideways. some heavy duty clapms should be suffice, i've seen metal cable ties used as well. ideally they should be on as soon as possible as you dont want a leaf to slide out into the tyre (worse case)

Slowly working towards long distance solutions for brakeout. No doors is cool but it gets tiring after a bit, let alone 150 miles.

And I can listen to tunes.....and the heater works a treat

Another step in the fit out.

I know it wont win in the fashion competition but it will sure as hell keep the rain out.

Heavy duty plastic held together with 5" tenting tape and reinforced on the corners for the pieces of string.

when at home use the garage, but without a full roof on a weekender in this lovely country with its not so predictable weather, keeps your seats dry overnight
