ok, where do you get the matt lee weld on beadlocks?

I got them straight from Matt Lee. He charges 50 per rim but they come with the nuts and bolts. I chose these because they are the are recessed for the bead instead of the flat type that try to beand the ring.

Right then................ as I'm half way through doing this to the '1Ton' I can say that some bits are really easy.....................

I'm with Bruce on this............. my 'crinkler' was £88 and 6metre lengths of 1and 1/4 10g are £45 around here.....

So 2 J shape lengths and some equal angle and you have the 'skeleton....................... easy.....................so far

BUT.......Doing the fender flares and covering in 2mm and incorporating the inners is a major job......... I've got to be into 40+ hours now and still got to cover second side and then spray and finish and fit

I raised my fenders and trimmed hood 2 years ago and that took me 45hrs............. so you can see how it mounts up......

Now if I was doing this again I would want £800 of tube bender a tube notcher and pipemaster needle dies................... so there's £1100
just in gear to do the job and save time..................

The rears I'm leaving for the moment...........................

So as usual tis the labour................. .....So yes £800 is good.................. but spraying finishing etc ........

Jez chillin on merlot in Norfolk hours are on a 10 to 1 deficit ratio tho

Thanks BD....................... tis the Merlot factor that does it........................ 20mins work and 40 mins looking and then having a further 40 min think

Have spent most of late afternoon and just come in 8.00 pm after doing the 2mm steel plate on the last fender.................. need more expensive tools to make the accuracy more...................... easier........................ etc...................

He doesnt mention the weld on beadlocks on there but I just rang him up, He was great to deal with and dispatched them straight away.

I also fall in to the always wanting bigger ended up putting my 35's on today. Ill add pictures later. She is all done now im over the moon with the outcome too.

Here is a pic after painnting, bonnet back green now too. Ill get some pics tomorrow with the new rocker gaurds and side bars.

I would love any decent cube v8, but I want my wrangler to use and use hard. Telling my self i have to hold the 4.0 back is going to be hard enough. Im use to the comforting feeling the nissan axles give me. that security has now gone. So until I have axles I trust then no more power. My other build has to be finished before the wrangler goes extreme.

One day though ill rebuild it properly

Its also hard not to out the reliable japanese options in there that I love.

Well she is done, went for a little play today and all I can say is wow. Its amazing. Keeping it low has done wonders for many things. It drives spot on down the woad despite 35" crossplys. Then when you pull on the rough stuff it really comes into its own.
