are you fuckin mad? i can get armour plated for about twenty quid and all ya gotta do is put the holese in place. hell i can even charge ya 200 quid and cut a w in it if it would make ya feel like ya had a bargain. just cos it says warn or rock fuckin road or some shit on it dont make it special ya know. give me your money and i will sort ya one steve. i work in one of the uk's biggest metal stock holders.

its also called delrin, http://www2.dupont.com/Plastics/en_US/Products/Delrin/Delrin.html marine industry uses it alot for bearing surfaces etc, inside winches, rudderstocks

Yup it arrived! and was fitted before I even had time to take some pics whilst it was off, LOL.
Its a Rough Country item and has to be said its really good quality! the only down side is that it is now only fixed in place with 2 bolts either side instead of the 3 on the original jobbie!
we have gained at least 2" of clearance! More like 3" to be honest. Bit of a faf to fit it as the chassis rails squeezed in when the old one was removed so they had to be jacked apart 5mm to get the holes to line up.

If anyone wants any pics let me know and il take some and post em up!

Wood chopping boards are cheap though....Ermmm Maybe a "woody" skid plate would suffice.

Try to keep the heatsheild and an air gap if possible.

A smaller cat was an option on Asylums. Merlin Motorsport Castle Coombe, do good options.

As promised, here are some pics of the most recent TJ mod! The Rough Country Transmision Skid lift (Tummy Tuck)

No modifications were needed for the exhaust, you can see just how much room there is around the cat in pic 5, there seems to be plenty above the cat and exhaust as well so the floor wont be melting anytime soon! LOL.

The Rough Country skid is only fixed in place with 2 of the 3 original bolts on each side, i guess its to keep the weight and cost down as boy is this thing well made and heavy!

We had a little issue with the chassis rails squeezing in a bit once the old gaurd was removed but this was quickly dealt with bu spreading them back out 5mm or so with a bottle jack and a peice of 6x2!

If anyone wants any specific shots or any measurements taken please let me know and il do my bestest for you!!

Looks great and there's more gaps to let the crap out when froading but will it do a better job than the standard one In protecting the vital bits? Only time will tell I suppose.

having looked long and hard at the rough country one i think an extra inch or so could be gained, also dont like the way it leaves the downstream oxy sensor exposed

going to have a look at a terraflex one fitted in a few weeks at an event so will go from there

the tube one looks nice and high but needs covering with a flat sheet so you can slide over stuff

the project continues

poly bush mounted isolation and lack of weight and as large or small as you want em.....
but as you say needs covering wiv da breadboard
