AMC V8 engine find

I have stumbled upon a AMC 390 V8 complete with all accessaries etc, hasn't run for a few years.
What sort of money would you expect to pay for something like this, was thinking of buying it as a spare or possibly buying and selling it off.
The old boy with it does not really know what he has

is it a gen 2 or gen 3? gen 2 was 68 to 69 and gen 3 only made in 70, the gen 2 was fitted to the AMX and had an output of about 315bhp, if its a gen 3 then most parts will fit your 360 but at a factory output of 340 bhp I would consider rebuilding as is and us it in the 6
as for price, a non runner £3/400 would be top end and £250 a good deal, but expect to throw some cash at it, a full gasket set inc manifolds etc can run to £120 and thats before you find out whats inside
