Mk1 Xj interior lights
«
on:

Any one had problem with interior lights coming on/off on there own? Not being caused by door or boot switchs as have disconnected them and it still happens. Have also swopped head lamp switch with one that i know is good. What else is in the circuit? Its beginning to annoy me now
Cheers

Wish I knew its spent today turning them on and off at random times while parked up with no one touching it. I've replace all the relays that I can find. Its the fact that it will do nothing for a week then decide to put the lights on without being touched thats pissing me off.

check the door closure light switchs, these do corrode over time so you might be getting a poor connection. The lights are on a timer which go off when the ignition key is turned or when the doors are locked after parking up

Have you tried twisting the knob on the push/pull light switch?
