WJ O2 sensor - bank 2 sensor 2 location please
« on: February 23, 2012, 09:43:10 PM »

have a p0161 fault here
O2 sensor heater bank 2 sensor 2

which one is it?

would i be correct in thinking its UK drivers (right) side downstream or is it one of the others?

i have pounded google and looked at a load of waffle on this fault but i don't
seem to be able to find a definitive (its this one stupid) diagram.

a pointer would be appreciated before i start yanking off the wrong bits and worse spending money :003:

bank one is the  side of the engine that has number 1 cylinder in it and hence bank 2  is the other one

Problem is  i have literally had this WJ for 48 hrs and don't as yet know the location of no1 cylinder either
i know just about everything worth knowing about RV8's but as yet naff all about power tec 4.7's
im assuming no1 is crank pulley end right as you look into the bay.

I have had this sensor out for a while,

Just turn the light off with my ODBII when it comes on.

What negative input does this sensor have when not working?

Thanks for all the reply s

good stuff about the engine firing order etc

I will be swapping out the dodgy o2 sensor
But I'm still none the wiser as to which one it is?
having had a crawl round beneath my motor
i find i have 2 o2's up stream of the cats
so i suppose it's the one in the right bank
downpipe.

Which looks to be a git to remove deep joy

Panic if you like i can be available via MSN (spit)
to copy that file if you have the time.
a PM should get me online in short order.
