Oil & coolant leak at the same time
« on: April 06, 2012, 12:03:29 AM »

Drove home today from work & my truck decided to take a leak on my drive, I noticed a little bit of coolant on the floor in work about the size of a 50p, so drove home 1.5 miles. When I arrived oil was pouring alot from what seems to be the starter motor area, covered the bell housing, oil sump & down the lower arm to the floor.
The lower rad hose was dripping quite a bit & made a 10 inch puddle, but I couldn't see any splits or cracks.
& I also found my oil pressure senor broken off in the engine bay.
Any ideas or anything similar happened to anyone else????

Its a 4.0 auto - I had a feeling it might be the rear main, but its all over the top of the starter motor & seems a bit too much oil at once.

Found the culprit fot the oil leak at least:

Now just for the coolant leak - its pretty nasty, like muddy water. I'm thinking radiator out & pressure flush tbh  :icon_biggrin:
