Anyone ever remove the front lights on the fenders on the 79 version. Not the 80+ rectangular versions. I have a yellow and white light on each side a bit like the landy lights. From behind the fender i can see the tip of a screw but from the front I cannot see the head of the screw. Its under a bezel. Do I twist it I dont want to break it - Im just trying to clean them up as they're fogged up and the clear ones have rust inside.

I just added aluminium foil behind the glass on the parking lights on the bottom and it really brightened them up. I might do the same to the headlights.

the chrome ring should lever out of the rubber base and then the lens will pull out and you can get to the screws

You can get replacements from loads of places too if they're FUBAR

 Get rid of them full stop. Don't need them as the turn signal is under the front lights. Mine headlights were changed to a later style so the park light is in the headlight. Then just fill up the nasty holes left from the god aurful landy lights

Yes my small lights under headlights are white parking lights. I think you guys are right I'll put the indicator back the way the yanks have them and get rid of the landy lights.  So its just a yellow bulb that goes in there with clear lens I presume.

Now for the dreaded bondo. I made a balls of my YJ windsheild with Bondo before. Might try the old mans MIG welder,I'll check the size of the holes and make a call. Im getting off the topic here but...
How do you fill a hole with bondo, do you put mesh behind it first so it doesnt fall through.

simple answer is you don't, it's for smoothing a surface not filling holes.

tack a patch on the inside then tack through the hole from the out side, etch and prime then you can use filler

Ok Nosebolt that worked and got them out in under a minute. Nice 1.5 inch diameters holes now to start fillin'. Still this is why I bye them....

If your good with a welder then I prefer to cut out the shape in steel that you are filling and weld it directly in rather than putting a larger patch on from behind as I find that rust develops behind the patch where the surfaces aren't welded. If you go to my build page and look through you will see what I mean as I took photo before and after I did mine. Also it pays to seam seal the weld on the inside to prevent rust at the joints. A quick coat of etch primer and then the filler, followed by high build primer then your top coats.

Also Ive wired up my indicators now but where do I put the dims. At the moment I have no dims, do they go into the headlight. I see a place for a bulb holder inside of the heads but no bulb holder currently there. I googled to see if that is where they should go but go no confirmation.

The wiring was a mess on this CJ7 and I was told it was done by JustJeeps but I could be wrong.

side lites go into the main lights, will be easy if you already have bowls with holes for them.

Last windscreen frame I took of the YJ turned into a soggy wet digestive as I turned the cheesy little torx bolts that were trying to hold it on.....
