I've got a divorced (converted?) Dana 300 sat in my shed.
The guy who sold it me told me that it was removed from a 4x4 converted Mk 2 transit van.
So I've finally got around to investigating, and it turns out that the official Ford sponsored Transit County models were built at Knighton in Powys and used Dana 44 front axles and NP208 transfer cases (allegedly sourced from Fords Bronco)
So where/what has my divorced D300 come from?
The "conversion" to divorced operation is a professional job, not home made, and consists of an alloy casting and new input shaft.
It might even be made that way by Dana in the first place.
Any suggestions, or information on it's likely origins please.
