YJ Cat question
« on: July 10, 2012, 04:33:17 PM »

Hi all,
New to the Jeep world and just got a tasty 2.5L, 1993 YJ that I'm now trying to get through MOT so after a bit of info!
Trying to find out:
1) Does it need a Cat fitting (first registered 03/08/1993)? Doesnt have one at the moment.
2) Needs a new ignition barrell, any ideas of a good place to get one (that doesnt cost the earth!)?
3) Could do with a new exhaust system anyway? Again, best places for bits?
4) Are any other Jeep bits interchangeable? (YJ Cherokee's, TJ's etc)

Thanks in advance for any help given

I put a universal sports/freeflow cat and a universal sports silencer on my 2.5 yj when I had it. Made a nice difference to power and cost about 100 pound, both stainless. I got them off eBay a couple of years back now.
