Treated myself to a tank guard and transfer box skid for my 97 cherry but can I balls get them to fit. They are both genuine items and I have a mopar towbar. The tank guard goes between the chassis and the tow bar I believe but when you come to offer up the tow bar over the guard it looks to be about an inch and a half too narrow?

The transfer skid lines up with 3 holes on the chassis and crossmember but there is no captive plate / nuts to bolt it to. Do you have to make it fit or am I missing something?

Any info / pics would be great peeps.

I believe its due to the fact that you have a facelift and the parts are off a Mk1, so you will have to make them fit your self. It can be done but not sure how. Transfer skid just needs rivnuts in the correct holes.

Thanks for that, I take it the rivnuts should hold it as its gonna be in the firing line as my xj hasnt had a lift yet?
