YJ Boomerang shackles
« on: July 30, 2012, 10:33:02 AM »

Does anyone know a supplier of these?

Want the ones that flex on themselves rather than the shaped non moving shackles.

Truck will be for punch hunts not road use.

All info welcome, thanks in advance Maf

Thanks for the input, think I'll start with a 4" lift and go from there... if it still drives nice then will skip flexy ones and if more lift needed just get slightly longer shackles...

I think it was the potential for them to unload and expand when unexpected, prbably when you are already tippy.

A good idea they did have though was allowing the leaf to twist. Alcan produced something called orbit-eye bushings which were like johnny joints for leaf springs but I don't think it ever went much beyond concept stage.
