Good news/bad news
« on: October 15, 2012, 10:07:56 AM »

Hi Folks,

Well, the good news was the Jeep sailed through the MOT on Saturday, the bad news is the exhaust is looking like it probably won't last much longer.

So, opinions and sources for a decent quality stainless CAT back system for a 2006 Grand 5.7 Overland sought please....

I put a Borla CAT back on the old XJ I used to have and was perfectly happy with that. I've seen a few comments about their products making grand claims...but frankly, I thought the one I had before was well made and it fitted perfectly...which is all I expect. Happy to consider other brands but must be stainless and fit properly.

So far I've just ended up with the usual US suppliers as suspects with stupid delivery charges. Trying to recall who I got the last one from...but can't.

That's a thought - thanks.

Got any specific suggestions for the Worcestershire area?  I did think A44 in Worcester...but see they no longer do Powerflow and have had some pretty grim feedback lately.

forget about brand names and go for a true builder, they will make the cans as well and a good one will be able to make whatever you want, all my vehicles have custom built S/S exhausts and in most cases cost less than std systems plus they don't rot out
