Interior lights....
« on: October 20, 2012, 11:09:34 PM »

This has no doubt come up in previous posts. My searches have been unsuccessful, however that is more than likely my line of questioning.

So, as per my previous post the car came back from body shop all tarted up but not starting. I had put the her into a fence but she was starting and running. The body shop sorted her out, new front suspension (sourced by me from ACD Lancashire), new radiator, front bumper, indicator and wheel arch extension.

Body shop said, upon collection, that its was a no start due to teh car not reading the keys. So it sat in SORN'd for long enough cos no mechanic or autospark wud come look at it..."Take it to Jeep...."

Anyways, got a friend of a friends mechainc to take it into his shop. Day later he tells me its two fecked wires in the ECU.

Car running. Sorted.

BUT!!
No blowers!!!!!  Hes checked it out and it seems like the resistor is getting power but the blower is saying no chance! 90 quid from ACD, delivered this Monday. So the mechsnic will sort that for me.

Next issue...the interior lights stay on all the time. The only time they go out id=s when the keys are out the ignition.

Any ideas troops??

Shes giving me earache so help a lad out, por favour!!!!!

Cheers

Lol. Happened to me too. Luckily when I was meeting anther Jeep owner to pick up a snorkel. Had me panicking about draining the battery. Checked everything, then he remembered the headlight switch routine. :) :) :)
