Grand Cherokee 2003 2.7 - Roll and sway

I plan to fit Bilstein shocks to take out some of the body roll.
As I cannot afford all four at the moment, can you advise which to replace first for best results - front or rear.
Is this best or would you recommend sway bar upgrade instead?
Thanks for your help.

steering wander ??
check all of the ball joints and bushes first.
changing shocks won't fix steering issues
mine has always pulled to the left slightly no matter what has been adjusted

Good advice.
Would also recommend having the wheel alignment checked, checking your front tyres for uneven wear, and looking for wear/play in the steering box, all of which can cause you to over correct when driving in a straight line causing the wandering.
Your shocks are there to restrict the bouncing effect of the springs. When driving in straight line on a smooth road they're not really doing anything.

Sway and body roll come as standard fitments on a Jeep - live axles, high Centre of Gravity etc.
I would suggest a Porsche 911 but they're not much good in the mud and snow!

I have ordered an Addco rear sway bar from the states, and when fitted, I will post my findings.

I've fitted the Addco rear sway bar to my 2002 GC. Makes a lot of difference , easy to fit and well worth it. May do the front at some point but I'm not sure it changes things that much. Will look into it. Be interested to hear what you think about the rear after you have fitted it.

For anyone interested, there is more info on the Addco sway bar below.
http://www.wjjeeps.com/swaybars.htm
I shall let you know how if there is any improvement after I fit it which might be a while as I have just dropped a log on my hand.
Duhhhhhhhhh
