Afternoon Peeps,

Can anyone recommend somewhere to send the heads to have them rebuilt. Ideally in the local area to myself so Birmingham / Bromsgrove / Worcester region.

Also would it be worth having the heads ported at the same time as having them re built?

Jay, I have used a firm called cylinder head services in Bilston for Rover/Perkins heads & I know of other people that have had other heads done there & I can highly recommend them!! I last sent them BMW/Freelander TD4 head that was smashed, all 8 valves, seats, guides the lot, they did it on 24hr turn round & it came back like a brand new head, as has all the heads I have had done there! & they aren't expensive, if I remember right that TD4 head was about £180 all incl of new valves, guides, seats & springs. What do you think to porting whilst its all been done?

pretty pointless really, or not that you would notice any difference anyway, if there is any casting flash that is visible, remove it as you will get a slightly better gas flow but that is all! honestly if you get this firm to do your heads you will be amazed when you get them back, honestly you will not tell them apart from brand new heads! I have sent them heads that my firm here couldn't do anything with & they never even question it.
