Can't see why not, if designed for a CJ7 then it should fit, as far as I know there were no body changes after they made the CJ7 until the YJ came along

the eagle tub was made to fit one of two chassis designs, originally a vw beatle and then a later ford based chassis but again it was more a simple  flat ladder frame, so yes it could be made to fit but you may find it is actually wider than the standard cj tub I would get  some measurements before going to wild.

It would be so much work, I doubt it would be worthwhaile and would turn your CJ into a bastardised worthless heap of junk. A decent YJ tub is probably your best bet if your CJ tub is really not repairable.
