I just pulled back the driver's side carpet in the XJ, and found a few strange things.

There were two fuses lying on the floor under there, yet there aren't any missing from the fuse box.

Mainly though, I'm wondering what this weird green stuff is under there. There's lots of it, andI haven't a clue what it is, but it seems to wipe off with my finger.

Also note the wire not attached to anything - any clues??

The wire is there on mine, maybe a link for heated seat option? Is the green not just algal mould, if it's been wet and then dried that would explain it. Plenty on of moulds and new life forms in my xj

I was thinking the wire might be an aftermarket stereo electric arial feed maybe. Green stuff is due to damp?
