Heaters - just out of interest
« on: March 23, 2006, 09:54:23 AM »

Have a look at the heater  -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1979-JEEP-BLACK_W ... otohosting

My CJ-5 was LHD so the original heater isn't suitable for RHD conversions and I'm using a Mini item.
Looking at the eBay picture it would seem that "proper" factory RHD used a different heater to the LHD.
Just out of interest anyone know what was the donor vehicle ?

Paul Humphries.

BTW I still have the huge plastic moulding that goes from the heater on right right across to left.
It's "free to collector" otherwise it's going to tip on next visit.

Mine had a tractor type heater - you know the little black box that kicks out about half a btu.

Skipped it still looking for a suitable replacement - I've been thinking about squeezing in an uprated Smiths unit from an MGB.

Did you use the two speed ones or uprated three speed?  I'm thinking one uprated three speed would probably be enough.?
