« on: April 14, 2013, 09:21:25 PM »

After lifting my Jeep (2.5")  I would like to get the rear axle alignment sorted..

Anyone know where I can get a relocation bracket for the trackbar ..??

Guys,

Not sure what I'm missing here But...

I've done a 2.5" lift on the TJ and think it might be a good idea to get the rear axle nice and centre again... So looking on the net, it seems straight fwd, just need to get a bracket and bingo... Right?? Well does not seems like in my instance!!

I have a 2005 model, I know Jeep had all sorts of ideas on redesign different parts, suppose they were just bored...

So heres the thing, looking on the net I can get the following sort of bracket

Then, the installation should look like this...

So, here's my Jeep..

Not really the same is it.??. Or what am I missing here

The bracket you've pictured is on a LHD axle. The RHD axles use a relocation bracket that mounts at the frame end. Can't find any pics on the t'interclickery at the mo and the Jeeps backed in so I can't get a pic of mine.

Just took a couple of pics on the mobile (between cameras at the mo) so not brill but they may help. Looks like the bracket moves the trackbar mount down and in a bit, but mine is a 4" lift, so it would need the hole in a slightly different place for a 2.5" lift.

The bracket is just folded steel that fits within the frame bracket and is bolted in place. It then steps out so the track bar will fit in it.

Arno,

Devon 4x4 do the old man emu bracket which fits onto the chassis end of the rear track bar. Have a look back at the stuff we discussed with the lift kit and all the details are there.

Graham.
