Anyone used Plasti Dip or equivalent?
« on: April 18, 2013, 02:00:30 PM »

Was thinking of painting my XJ in matt olive drab and came accross a product called Plasti Dip:

https://www.dipyourcar.com/

It seems pretty widespread in the States and gets glowing reviews, but the UK distributor doesn't seem to have any stock of anything useful on their website. A bit of half ass googling and I found this site, offering a similar product, which seems to have stock, and in better colours too.

I've bought a can to test but wondered if anyone here has any experience with this stuff... I really want it to be as good as they say.

7 coats seems excessive for matt olive, you could roll on a couple of thick coats much quicker, cheaper, and easier
