Gents,

Current tyres are imperial 8.5 R 17.5.

What is the metric equlivant, I have tried tyre calculators not to much luck.

Am I right is saying it is 215 75 17.5?

width x profile = 215mm/25.4 x 0.75 = 6.35"

for a 75 profile tyre you'd need a width of 8.5/.75 x 25.4 = 285

What metric sizes are available for 17.5" wheels?

If anyone doesn't like the way this club is run then they're free to leave. No one's holding a gun to anyone's heads

I will say one thing though: good luck finding another club where so much bollox is tolerated that is likely to last more than five minutes.

I'm not talking about the derailment of the thread, I'm used to that and although its gets a bit tiresome on occasions its part of the scenery around here, for better or worse.

Its the digs at the folks who are prepared give up some time to help run the club that get boring. Maybe its your nature to see any form of structure or authority as 'the man' and to kick against it. it's fine if you don't want to get involved but for fuck sake some of us do and I really wonder why sometimes.
