Saw this, or something very similar, being fitted to a TJ the last time I was at Surrey Off-Road.  BIG bucks, apparently, but has the advantage that you can air down to get in, then air up to your selected ride height.  :)

I've also seen a video clip somewhere (J33?) that showed one of these systems being used on a side slope, in order to keep the body level.  Good idea, but I wonder how long it would be before you forgot that you're on a side slope?

Seem like a cool idea, but I can't help worrying about durability.

Anything that says 'computer controlled' put's me off, let alone the cost.

There's enough bloody electronics in the modern trucks as it is and look what problems that causes.  Give me steel springs any day........they can't go wrong and think they're a kettle!

The ex-pres of the club i was in the US, the guy who built my YJ, had airbags for a while. Auto-controlled at the beginning, then switched to a manual system as the computer couldn't keep up.

After rolling for the 13th time (partly due to the suspension, partly as he doesn't know when to quit   ), he went back to springs when he scratchbuilt his next rig.
