HELP IDENTIFYING WHEELS AND AXLE

HELP bought a ww2 trailer and this axel was under it with 18" wheels

Looks similar to an el cheapo system from South Africa called "Rubax".
Sorry but dint know where to buy in this country, but Venter Trailers in SA might help.
Was a cantilever suspension system for trailers that worked on the compressability of triangular rubber inserts. System often had shocks fitted, could be braked or not, but didn't use springs so bit confused there.

Looks like you have the axle from an old British water bowser axle was by weeks I think

You got a nice 416 and a good m100 to work with

Kev its up to you but the easyest thing to do is to replace the axle with a d44 rear from a mindy should be a an almost direct fit depending whats been done to fit the currant gay one

Benifit will be same wheels  and you will have the added bonus of telling the landy boys that its an uber rare  ex mod rubery owen powered axle trailer development model

They would be wazzing all over it
