Common part numbers
« on: August 08, 2013, 07:37:26 PM »

In the past I've always kept a list ( in later years a spreadsheet ) of usefully and obscure part numbers. Just starting to do that for my WK 3.0 CRD.

In t he meantime if any does similar could you please let me know the part numbers for diesel and oil filter on my 2009 WK 3.0 CRD

Cheers

Hello Ditch,

I see you're firing off a lot of questions about the WK 3.0 CRD...... and not getting too many answers. :icon_winkle:

That is not because we don't hear you, but the WK is fairly modern by Birty standards and very few of us have one.  We are pretty well versed here on anything from 1940 to 2005 with a Jeep badge on.  WJ's 2000-2005 in CRD, Petrol I-6 + V8 variety being the last ones that a lot of us have had or still own.  Next to that there is a wealth of knowledge on CJ's, YJ's, TJ's, XJ's, ZJ's and KJ's.

I have had mine now for a couple of months and apart from washing & hoovering it, will not touch the damn thing.  Service will not be @ Jeep though but a very good independent.

James H, who has one too, is pretty clued up about his rig but possibly on hols now.

Cheers!

p.s. if you happen to have a WK towbar lying around (or know of) let me know.

Hi, thanks for the response. I've been DIY'ing cars for years but not the wk. This one is just out of its warranty at 4 yr old so I don't need the dealer stamp any longer but as the car is brilliant I'm keeping it.

Hopefully after a couple of services ill be able to answer people coming on with similar questions.

The only two jobs I've done recently is the infamous rear hatch open/ alarm activating fault and fitted some new disc on the front (including breaking one of the calliper pistons!!!!) , so still sussing it.

Tow bar........sorry no in all seriousness until recently I did have one for a WJ.

Well maybe you can be the first to enlighten us on the 'pitfalls'/Tech specs/service items etc. of the WK.

It is bound to be the next head ache in a distinguished line of Jeep products  :003:

I'll try can't garuntee much lol.

In all seriousness I intend keeping the car for a while yet because I like it and I'm of sure if I was to change it, what it would be for. I'm deeply suspicious of a jeep with a fiat engine in it , but that's my phobia

I'll see what documents I can dig out - I think I've got a parts catalogue so you can look up parts and get the numbers.

I don't do a great deal of DIY on my WK - I've got brakes to do but other stuff has all been done by a garage because I don't find time to work on two Jeeps and understand and enjoy working on the XJ more.

Thanks , all info gratefully received.

I'm hoping my wk work will be limited to routine maintenance. So far it has , now how's that for the kiss of death !!!!!
