Got my Grand Cherokee a week ago and started working my way through the snags, one of the more urgent items is the rear exhaust section. My car has had a new silencer fitted recently by the previous owner but its been very badly done..small tack welds holding it in place and blowing at the join. Most worrying is the way the rear tailpipe section has been rotated so that it sometimes rubs on the inner wall of the rear tyre. I thought rather than mess about with the old rusty part I'd replace it with some shiny new stuff but I'm struggling to find the part I need .I picked up a rear section for a 4.0 Grand Cherokee but since found out that it's a smaller diameter than the part fitted on a v8
Any advice on where (in the UK) to get the right part as none of the online guys seem to list for the v8, all seem to be showing for 4.0 engine size only .
At the risk of being flamed for this question, if it comes to it can I get by with the slightly smaller diameter pipe ?
