If it's Jedi's your interested in, there is a spare set of heads with it & the top end gasket set!
I have never had chance to compression test it, we have just gone on what the stealer said, I am putting the rear suspension back together today so if I get chance I will test it & report my findings, cos' I must admit I aren't 100% convinced it's a valve seat issue till I see the results for myself!
As for the head change, I have never done one & Bubba & Jhay are the people you need to speak to, from the research I did in to it, it's lpg out of the way, time it up chains off & then either pull them tight (the dodge ram way) or remove the timing chest (the jeep way) heads off & rebuild is reverse of removal. They aren't the easiest but well in the scope of a competent mechanic.
The only reason I aren't doing Jedi's is a time issue! There isn't anything to hide with it, he needs it out of the way as he has replaced it already & his cobra is about to put in an appearance too meaning he would have 4 vehicles at home plus the wifes car, he would be heading for divorce!!
It's a no brainer really he is supplying all the parts to repair it (if it is a valve seat) repaired it's a 5 grand truck!!
