money is tight, but we needed a car for Tan and Dan to get from Bristol to Bath daily, the ZJ is great but at almost £20 a day in fuel it just not cutting it, so I got this for £150, MOT failure but taxed till end of the year.

other than a leaking slave on the rear it just needed some welding.
it all done now and just finished the paint, just need to give it a buff and refit the trim and its in for new mot next week, so far the whole project has come in under £200

Nice skills, welding and bodywork have always been a dark art to me...do need to learn to weld.

its badged as a Ford Maverick but its really a re-badged Nissan Terrano, end of the day its a cheap car for the wife so I can sell the ZJ and pay for the insurance & tax on the CJ  :icon_super:

Thanks NB ..the light is on now. I've owned and run Nissans for many years, , cheap to buy, cheap to run and very few problems..rust in the UK seems to be the only issue. My Nissan Patrol. 2.8 TDI is still going strong after 13 years..just ask Mr Henry, because he knows. That six cylinder, turbo oil burner still gives me  35 mpg, fully loaded and that's not too shabby for a vehicle that weighs in at just over 3 tons. Within the last couple of weeks I took my entire family on a seaside holiday in the Nissan..500 mile round trip..average daytime temps 37 degrees..average fuel consumption was 36.5 mpg! That's with 5 adults and a 10 year old, plus enought crap for a week. Used no oil, no coolant..came home with just under a third of the tank remaining.
