And the splinters hurt like hell and cause infection....... :011:
And the sanded dust gives me a strange smell up me nose for weeks if I forget the health and Safety bollix which I do about 98% of the time.

Oh the happiness of self employment......... :icon_super:

American black for high end kitchen units and stuff.....

European oak......not so much as planks too small and lots of knots...

American white oak nice wide planks not many knots and cheaper than European oak for massive dressers and the like........

Sadly more European oak is being ripped out of Eastern Europe where it has been untouched by man  due to communist dictators........ Now all different...... 50 years time it will look like Scotland
Buggah all trees......... Except cultivated pine.......

Aahhh you make furniture!  Walnut is a bit soft I find easily damaged. Made a staircase and some simple paneling for a customer 5 year ago! Still dream of sanding sanding samdimg

Walnut has become my favourite over the years........ Probably because most people want Oak or painted fx.......
Nice stairs by the way.

Did the whole room.. Tanked it all then plastered it out.all stairs and paneling are from walnut then sapely French doors and Windows linned with walnut.  I seem to get oddball stuff to make... On with a sauna at moment from Douglas fir. And a draw pack from sapely to match a chest of draws

And also remember that any generator running between the hours of 11p.m and 8.00 a.m may be subject to a noise reduction programme whether it wants one or not :003:

Looks like I am commencing delivery of jeeps and things on Thursday late on.

Picking up Tom Penny at about half 9 (pm) to get his TJ and my ZJ to site, I will leave my ZJ and the trailer on site and then tow the caravan over early Friday morning off the pick up ready to receive deliveries of loos and showers, before heading off to pick up generator and lighting.
