Look for Mercedes van mechanics, I believe the same pump is used on the Sprinters. Same parts ordered for a Sprinter cost up to half price and same goes for people working on the vans.

What makes you think it needs refurbed?

If needed, then I use http://www.dieselbob.co.uk/

However the 2.7 pump has a tendancy to leak when cold (freezing etc) but the leak is between the pump and the engine block, so if that's the case save yourself some cash and replace the 'o' seal that has taken a set over time.

My WJ does a similar thing first thing in the morning for about 4 mins if the outside temp is below 2-3 deg C, but it then seals up when the lot heat up.

Good Luck.

The fuel lines are covered with diesel and down the front of the block.  I can see it dripping onto the lines whilst running and quite a heavy smell of fuel. My scooby mechanic has done some mercs and replaced the rear seal on them. Hes going to check that and whilst its off replace all the o rings with merc ones as I had trouble with one or two early last year... should be cheap fix hopefully :-) just a pain hes not too close
