I'm watching this thread with a fair amount of jealousy, mainly as I'm unable to work a project of this size anymore. The last was a trike build. Bought an ex race GS1000s Suzuki from a mate, finished up lookin like this.

my one and only trike build. home made frame, XJ750 to a narrowed flipped Reliant axle. was fast enough but didn't do corners  :icon_eek:

The GS had a full width reliant axle, and 15x12.5 BFGs, would spin the rears up in 4th in the damp! BFGs are WAY too hard a compound for trikes. unless you use a leading link front end, trikes need to be fought round bends. :D
My XS11 used a full width Mk1 Capri axle.

after a weekend of working on Tans commission proposals and prepping for an installation of Thursday I finally found some time to play on the Bug today.

I saved the original fuel flap from the 1200 relocated the tube and flattened the outer edge, then I installed it flush in the top of the buggy hood retaining the cable release mech, just held in with klaco pins for now. This is all part on my plan to make this buggy with no visible lights, humps or bumps on the body.

Been a bit short on car time of late, Tan has pieces in 6 shows over the summer and a couple of commissions on the go but did find some time to paint and start to assemble the buggy dash.
