dip stick

Hi I'm in the process off taking a XJ auto box out for my auto coversion on my TJ. Does any one know how to get the dip stick out off the auto box?Cheers :97:

if there isn't a bolt and clamp holding it in at the gearbox then it will be a push fit with an oversized o ring as a seal. i.e very tight fit.

ive found with the push fit type on various vehicles, its a case of wiggle and pull. some come out surprisingly easy where as others are a bitch and thats brand new cars
