Hi,

I'm putting together the bits needed to lift my TJ about 4 inches. I've got a Quadratec lift kit coming from the US. As well as coils and shocks it comes with new front and read lower control arms - it just hit me, assume these will fit even though they were intended for a left hand drive car?

It also comes with a transfer case lowering kit.

So, other than transfer case, lower control arms and track bars is there anything else I need to think of for a 4 inch lift. Brake lines?

Deciding I wanted 33s instead of 31s was an expensive idea. In the last week I've ordered 4.10 axles, lockers, 4 inch lift, front track bar bracket from the US...

... but haven't actually ordered any 33s!

Thought prop would be ok with 4 inch and the transfer box lowered?

The lockers are to help me keep my right foot light! Delicacy over loud pedal!

Extended antiroll bar links, bump stops to limit up travel, guess these might be included in the kit? Also adjustable top rear arms for pinion angle maybe?

Think you going to have prop issues over 3 inches in a TJ, angles will be wrong hence the need for SYE, more errrr raffle prizes 

And importantly, the higher you go, the wider you will need to go or stability will be fooked eerrr more prizes needed

Yes, ARB links and bump stops are in kit. Haven't heard top arms before. Will research.

Hmmm. Need to find out definitively, thought the included transfer box lowering bits were to sort the prop out. Not sure I can swing much more out of the raffle prizes!

Going to get 2 inch wider tyres to give me a 2 inch wider footprint.

I went with a 3" lift and a 1.25" body lift this gave me the clearance for 33's. I had a transfer case drop fitted but the rear shaft angle was causing me vibration problems so I had to fit an SYE kit I went with the extreme short one from treaflex to give me the longest rear drive shaft possible. Wish I hadn't as the speed sensor is fixed so I can't change the speedo reading without getting an electronic box to do so. The standard SYE takes the standard speedo gears which you can change to correct your speedo.

Rear brake flex line will be fine. For front get hoses for a 95 YJ they are long enough, I run them with my 4" lift.

Mine was on 3.5" lift + bodylift+ transfer drop and the vibrations were horrid, since I fitted the SYE kit which sorted the Vibes out, I have also changed my Lower control arms and my upper control arms along with axles etc, I try to forget what I spent and replaced to be fair LOL.

You will also notice that the higher you lift it the more angle is dialled into the Lower and Upper Control arms this has the effect of shortening the wheelbase which when you are trying to improve off road ability works against you.
Anything over 3" of lift is really gagging for adjustable lower control arms to sort out the caster angle of the front axle at the very least. In the rear it will help to sort out pinion angle but you still need a SYE but will also get you some more wheelbase.

Rubicon Express as well as many others do a long arm kit that they reccommend for lifts over 3.5"
And in addition one of their kits extends the rear to give you 98/99" of wheelbase. Gives the vehicle back its proportions and helps with hill climbs.
There  are now kits to extend the front by 3" so the magic 100+" wheelbase is more easily achievable.

And all it takes is £££ and $$$$$

My TJ was on a 4" lift with stock length arms, it rode like a dog.. Wheelbase gets shortened on an already short jeep..

2.5 or 3" lift is more than enough for 33s

Or 4" with long arms..

Kit comes with new lower control arms. Assume that means wheelbase stays the same?

Ours is running 33" but not sure how high it's been lifted. No body lift as far as I can see. It does rub on full lock quite badly so I've got some spacers to fit to try to address that.
