ECU Question - NOt Jeep
« on: March 10, 2015, 08:57:34 AM »

At work we have a 2001 Renault Scenic 1.9 Diesel.

Not sure why its about but the ECU is buggered on it and want to chuck it on ebay and get it out the way.

Can I source another ECU from a same era car or do the codes on the ECU need to match exactly?

I now when I sources a Jeep Transmission ECU a while ago I got a matching numbers one and it was plug and play.

Cheers.

(Also getting the 944 Turbo Track car re commissioned!!!)

Found used ones on ebay, so was wondering if there would be a swap option.

Hi i'm 98% sure it can be done but there are other things that have to be changed at the same time such as central locking module, immobilizer module, remote key fobs and one or two other things you can often find them for sale as kits on the bay.
I used to work for a VW breakers and sold quite a lot of these type of kits including ones from a few french cars.
hope this helps
