It could well be the IAC (Abbrev. correct - Idle Air Controller). The air passage could be a bit gummed up by deposits, and the IAC sticking a bit. You need to remove the IAC to clean it and the orifices in the throttle body properly. Careful cleaning the IAC itself, I read they can be broken if the plunger is moved.
